I have been experimenting with using Ambient Guitars with various long reverbs, long delay loops (Frippertronics) and an E Bow.
For a long time I have wanted to do some guitar Soundscapes and also to use guitars with synths for my Ambient music and Soundscapes but it takes a different approach and mindset to normal guitar playing not to mention the use of effects as well !!!!!
At long last I have got around to experimenting and adding an E bow to my equipment and I am confident that the guitar will now feature much more in my Ambient tracks.
There are 4 tracks featured here which are demo quality as they were just jammed live in my studio . I can improve the sound quality on commercial tracks by taking more time and splitting the parts into seperate track for mixing instead of piling them up in the looper. (Don't worry if you don't understand the tech speak....just listen and enjoy)

I have been reviewing my music and this website and I have today removed all older material except for any commercial CD's or albums which are on sale at CD Baby, I-Tunes , Amazon and other digital distributors.
Although I have removed some good material that I am proud of I am making way for new material and instead of making tracks in various styles and genres I am theming this site to the more ambient side of my music which is what I am now concentrating on.
Having said that the ambient field is very varied so the tracks will range from Dark Ambient and Ambient Space to lighter forms such as Chillout and New Age styles.
I will also be introducing some Ambient Guitar into the mix of styles as this is something I have currently been working on.
Please feel free to comment if you have a point of view as i will be most pleased to hear from you.

Added today some pictures to show the main hardware used in my tracks for those who are curious about where I get my sounds.
I have other odd bits and pieces in abundance plus a huge amount of VST instruments in my computers too.
Currently I prefer to use these hardware synths for the "hands on" experience and because they are reliable and I know them well.
Not to forget I also have guitars which I still play but I am not currently using on my tracks......but they could return if I need them !!!!
